Teen Programs

The Puyallup Public Library offers free programs for teens and young adults (ages 13+ or grades 7+) throughout the school year. Teens can drop in for Anime Club, gaming days, crafting, and the League of Teen Advisors volunteer group. All teen programs are offered through funding from The Friends of the Puyallup Public Library.

If you would like to be added to our monthly electronic newsletter about teen programs, please email Young Adult Librarian Bonnie Svitavsky to be added to our mailing list.

Curious about Dungeons & Dragons? Pondering Pathfinder? Considering a life of adventure and spell-slinging? If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to play a role-playing game (RPG), now is time!

Join the Puyallup Public Library for four sessions of adventuring, where we teach you the basics of playing a pencil & paper RPG. We will be using a simplified system to teach you about playing a character, combat, getting gear, and leveling up. Over the course of four sessions, you can take part in a story that will introduce you to the world of role-playing games.

No previous gaming experience is required - characters, dice, and adventure will be supplied!

Registration is recommended, though not required. However, space is limited. Register by calling the Library (253.841.5454) or email us that you are interested. Each session will feature new content; attend one or come to all four to experience the entire adventure!

Anime Club: My Hero Academia

Wednesday, May 17th, 3:00 - 5:00 pm

North Meeting Room

This month we'll be watching My Hero Academia (rated TV-14).

Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life - a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That's right! In a world where 80% of the population has some kind of super-powered "quirk," Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that's not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world's most prestigious hero academies.
